Aromatherapy: Ancient methods in a modern world

Are your essential oils natural?
Yes, all the essential oils are totally natural and made from pure plant extracts.

 Are your essential oils organic?
No, organic essential oils are very expensive and although they are very good most people cannot afford the cost of them.

Why are there so many different prices for essential oils?
Because the oil can be extracted from different parts of the plant. For example Lavender can be extracted from just the tips or from the tips and part of the branches etc. This affects the price of the oil but it is still made from 100% natural plant. Our oils are good quality at an affordable price and as such sell well.

Where do the essential oils come from?
All over the world.

Can you use them neat?
Lavender, Tea Tree and Manuka are the only oils which can be used in neat form. All the others must be diluted in a base oil such as Grapeseed or Sweet Almond.

Are they safe in pregnancy?
Some oils must not be used during pregnancy It is important to read the data sheet carefully for each oil.

What is a massage oil?
The idea of a massage oil is that it is a premixed treatment containing base oil and up to 5 essential oils. Some people want a ready-made treatment without having to research which oil treats what condition. It also is a lot cheaper to buy one bottle for around £3 - £5 rather than 5 oils and 1 base oil which would be anything up to £30 - £40.

What is the percentage of essential oil?
90% base oil and 10% essential oil. Any more than this for essential oil is just over powering.

What is the reason for massage cream?
Some people prefer a cream base rather than an oil base as it is less greasy.

What is the difference between a massage oil and a rollerball?
The ingredients are the same but the rollerball is designed to take with you in your pocket or handbag and can be applied to pulse points during the day.

What is the difference between essential oils and aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the general name for products, which are made using essential oils. Aromatherapy massage is the treatment given by qualified people using essential oils.
